| Detailed Description |
| One couple and a single bloke looking for a housemate to share one medium bedroom with en suite in what is probably the nicest house in Northcote (Arthurton Road). We range in age from 25-34, it’s an active and sociable household who enjoy a drink and meal (and a lot of stupid laughs) together. It’s definitely not a party house but we all like to have fun together.
It’s a very large and secure 3 level house, 3 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. Large open plan living area with large industrial garage door opening onto the first entertainment area, kitchen has marble bench tops and stainless steel Miele oven, gas cook tops and dishwasher.
There is a cinema room (with projector and sound) and separate dining room on the ground floor.
The room available is on the ground floor, medium size which has its own en suite and large mirrored BIR's plus large window that opens into as small courtyard with a fish pond. Room does not have air conditioning but has underfloor heating (like every room on the downstairs level).
The two other bedrooms are on the 2nd levels but up on the 3rd level has a great rooftop entertainment area that gets a lot of use in the warmer months. I am a DJ however at 32 years old the decks don’t get much of a workout (unless we are having a party). Mind you all housemates have a great love of good music.
Room is unfurnished but the rest of the house is fully furnished including laundry but a large TV for the front room would be handy. There is access to storage space. Garage car spots are already occupied but plenty of parking on the side street.
Very close to public transport (2 trams lines within 5 minute walk and Northcote train station 10 minutes’ walk). In peak hour, it’s only an easy 20 minute drive into the city. Great area with plenty of great restaurants and bars, the Merri Creek running track is only 200 metres from our front door which gives you 22km of unspoilt running tracks.
Ideally would like a clean, sociable but stable professional person who has a great sense of humour to join our household. A female housemate to even up the male/female ratio would be great but we are not too fussy. Smokers are OK but only outside.
The rent is $250 per week plus bills (very fast Telstra Cable Internet and Foxtel Platinum @ $30 pm each on top of normal utilities). Your name will need to be added to the lease. The rent is not cheap so we are looking for someone professionally employed who won't have any problems covering their bills. Bond is $2000 and we do understand this is not a small amount so we can negotiate on time frames etc however this house is absolutely fantastic, is worth every cent and just needs to be seen to be believed. You wont find anything like it.
Room available on weekend of 24th November. New 1 year lease (3rd renewal) starts on 21st.
