| I'm looking for a comfortable place to move into where the housemates treat the house like a home.
I enjoy spending time outside reading a book, playing with pets, drinking some beers, tending to some plants, or having lazy day conversations. I;ve taken to collecting succulents as they are impossible to kill, and also incredibly easy to acquire.
I'm currently studying Archaeoogy at LaTrobe which I absolutely love, and I volunteer on digs as often as I can. This just means that I provide free manual labour for either nothing or $30 a day, I'm hoping that this pays off once I graduate in about a year and a half!
I've lived in share houses for the past 7 years, so i think I'll write down some of my favourite things about those houses and see if I can find some like minded people.
One place had an unspoken cooking competition where all the housemates tried to out do each other when we cooked. We ate incredibly well at that house and learnt so much about food!
At the other end of the spectrum I've lived in places where we only shared meals occasionally and were more inclined to catch up over a beer when we were all home. Both were great.
Ha, the only thing I can think of at the moment is food!
I have a beautiful little poodle named Gil, he is incredibly friendly and gets along with every cat that he meets. I know that this could be a hinderance to having me move in,but I am happy to provide a 'dog bond' to the land lords if needed as he does spend most of this time inside. That being said, he has never done any damage to my current place. I'm also happy to hide all evidence of him around inspection time!
At the moment I'm living on my own and can't wait to move back into a share house. Why am I on my own? I purchased a one bedroom unit a year a go with some inheritance and had to move in for the first home buyers grant. So seeing as I'll have rent coming in, I'll never have trouble paying rent out! |
